I’m Lindsey the owner of Leashed by Lindsey. My story caring for animals started at a very young age (7). I found an interest in animals through my mom, who worked as a care taker for dogs at Purina. Shortly after i started training our family dog in agility. Throughout highschool I worked at a nearby kennel as a boarding daycare attendant. There I learned dog body language, bathing, medicating and many other things. The owner of this kennel was a dog trainer whom I looked up to often asking questions about it.  I always wanted to be a dog trainer! However I wasn’t sure how to do so. My dad, who saw the passion I had for it, began looking around for trainers in the area whom I may be able to shadow when he came across The Tom Rose School. I attended schooling at TRS in October of 2021 for the master program. Here I learned many things, some are competition obedience, personal protection, scent detection of narcotics, search and rescue, agility, behavior modification in aggressive behaviors, and many other things. TRS later hired me as a Training Director and again as a Kennel Manager. I worked caring for dogs there until March of 2023. This left me with 6 years of experience care taking, and 1+ years of professional dog training. I have aslo worked as a veterinary technican at a local animal hospital. Currently I am running Leashed by Lindsey and traveling. I have a personal dog named Nova (Belgian Malinois) who keeps me busy in my free time!
